Life Updates & Gratitude

  • Grateful for some fun in the sun in Florida with supermarket RDs earlier this week. Such a fun group of RDs and a fabulous conference put on by Oldways!
  • Grateful for lots of laughs with my cousin and the chance to catch-up with him while I was in Florida.
  • Grateful for the school of dolphins I saw while walking along the bay in St. Petersburgh. I’ve never seen dolphins that close-up before! It was so cool.
  • Grateful for safe, uneventful travel back & forth.
  • Grateful for no big plans this weekend so Steve and I can do fun things like create a budget for our wedding & honeymoon (insert nervous emoji here).
  • Grateful for the fact that we were able to change our wedding date so that two of my closest girlfriends could come. Say hello to Labor Day weekend 2016!
  • Grateful for a full life and schedule! (Trying to replace the word busy with full after reading the Huff Post article above)

Happy weekend, ya’ll! xo

  1. Thank you so much for including me in this roundup! 🙂

  2. Give me everything and anything carrot cake related! 😀

  3. Thanks so much for including me Kara! I always get so inspired by your mindfulness and gratitude posts 🙂

  4. I absolutely adore reading your gratitudes..This morning is actually really tough right now..Just heard a devastating news and boy..what a major personal setback. After sheddings lots of tears and spending some time in prayer, I said “ok life must go on.” So I came to you for some positivity and inspiration. You did not let me down ;). I’m once again reminded of how lucky I am and that I should have a heart of gratitude even in the littlest things. Currently, I’m really grateful for my dog who’s showering me with his’s as if he knows mama is not doing well. Scratch that. He DOES know! Hope you have a wonderful weekend with Steve! Love ya xoxo

    • Aw, Min! So sorry to hear that – hope you’re doing okay. I’m glad my gratitude lists can serve as a source of inspiration for others to cultivate their own gratitude. That’s what it’s all about – spreading those positive vibes! You’re so lucky you have such a loving dog! I don’t know what I’d do without my cat somedays. Love you girly xoxo

  5. Thanks for all of the fabulous links! Anne’s tart blew me away the first time I saw it! It’s wonderful to have so many things to be grateful for, enjoy your weekend with Steve 🙂

  6. Those salmon sliders DO look amazing! Glad you got to spend some nice time in Florida!

  7. I read that Busyness article awhile ago and it definitely speaks volumes! Good luck with wedding/planning budgeting this weekend- it’s actually more fun than it sounds because it gets you so excited 🙂 PS longer engagement is the best idea ever and you will totally be thanking yourself multiple times- I don’t know how the women that get engaged and get married the next year do it!
