No Bake Almond Joy Bars are the perfect way to jazz up the brown bag lunch. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and veg-friendly!

As summer begins to wind down and the mornings and evenings start to get slightly cooler, we know that back-to-school is just around the corner.

Cue the dreaded brown bag blues. It can be a big challenge for mom and dad to constantly have to reinvent the lunchbox, offering up new options that are both healthy and delicious to keep their kiddos (and themselves) satisfied.

The good news is this month’s recipe redux is all about the brown bag. We’re creating bars and bites that pack a whole lot of nutrition into a small square or round. Ditch the brown bag blues and get excited to jazz up your and your kiddos lunchbox this fall!

My boyfriend loves chocolate chip granola bars and I caught a box in our beach bag last week and took a glance at the nutritionals and thought I could do so much better than that.

And I did.

Believe me, all the kiddos at school will want to trade their snacks for this bar (assuming trading snacks is still a thing – it was when I was in school!).

And these bars are friendly for kiddos with allergies or food sensitivities – they’re gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy-free, and veg-friendly!

Found this through the berry’s daily motivation post and LOVE these bars! I just made are one batch without the honey and am hoping my kiddos will gobble them up as treats the way they did with the first batch. Thank you!

    • Katie, so glad you found TFD and that you and the kiddos are gobblin’ up my no bake almond joy bars! Happy to hear they’re going over well with the fam :). Enjoy!

  2. My kids aren’t big almond butter eaters, but I’m pretty sure I could twist their arms and get them to nosh one {or two} of these No Bake Almond Joy Bars. They’re going to have to wrestle me for them first ๐Ÿ™‚ Yum!!!

  3. So yummy! (and I’m thinking a great way to satisfy my need for a little something sweet when I’m curled up on the couch reading a book….or watching Game of Thrones :)). Totally making these!

  6. These look SO packed with chocolatey/almond/coconut goodness. Used to love Almond Joy bars and cannot remember the last time I had one. Must make these.

  7. Almond Joy Bars just happen to be my favorite ๐Ÿ™‚ I used to love Halloween because my sisters hated them and I would get their trick or treating leftovers. I haven’t had one in years though because they are pretty horrible for you. These, however, are all the goodness with none of the chemicals! Love it.

  8. Almond Joys in a healthy bar form?! YUMM. Ah love it.

    • Thanks, Min! Love that you have all the ingredients on hand! That’s also one of the reasons I made it – I already had everything I needed :).
