Mindfulness, Inspiration & Travel
The Disease of Being Busy via On Being (POWERFUL READ! When did we stop being human beings and resort to being human doings? The next time you ask someone “how are you” and they respond “I’m so busy”, I challenge you to ask “but how is your heart doing?”)
Why Your Yoga Teacher Is Just Like You via Peaceful Dumpling (Hint: we’re all human so we can’t do some basic poses either and we sometimes don’t feel like practicing – we’re not all that different).
16 Yoga Poses for a Happy Holiday Season via Mind Body Green (there are some cute ones in here! Prancer, Running Raindeer, Snow Plow, you get my drift)
Create Trips, Share Experiences, Explore the World via Embark.org. I’ve been emailing with the co-founder of Embark.org about another project and he just introduced this site to me yesterday. I watched the video on their homepage and was nearly brought to tears because everything they communicate about travel resonated with me so much after having gone to Thailand, Cambodia, and Costa Rica in the past year. Something that they get (and that me and my traveling dynamic duo talked about often) is how the travel we did wasn’t about a vacation, it was about growing, experiencing new cultures, and opening up our eyes to the world around us. It’s such a powerful thing to me that not everyone gets (sometimes I get the you have four eyes look when I talk about this to people). So, Embark.org (founded by a group of friends who shared a strong passion for exploring the world together) helps people plan adventures all across the world and connects people who have been there, done that, so you have some feedback and inspiration for your travel plans.
