I watched the video on their homepage and was nearly brought to tears because everything they communicate about travel resonated with me so much after having gone to Thailand, Cambodia, and Costa Rica in the past year. Something that they get (and that me and my traveling dynamic duo talked about often) is how the travel we did wasn’t about a vacation, it was about growing, experiencing new cultures, and opening up our eyes to the world around us. It’s such a powerful thing to me that not everyone gets (sometimes I get the you have four eyes look when I talk about this to people). So, Embark.org (founded by a group of friends who shared a strong passion for exploring the world together) helps people plan adventures all across the world and connects people who have been there, done that, so you have some feedback and inspiration for your travel plans.

Gratitude & Life Updates

  • Feeling grateful for new opportunities that presented themselves to Steve and I this week.
  • Grateful for a nice conversation I had with a fellow RD, RYT in Boston over lunch.
  • In disbelief today is Friday. This week just FLEW by. Steve’s planning to go back to Buffalo this weekend so I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend, lots of yoga, and quality me time.

    The Embark team actually a trip together to Thailand and we’ve had a few guys who have been to both Cambodia and Costa Rica… incredible countries, all of them! The best part is that you’re going to find out something new about yourself anywhere you go; it also can’t hurt that every culture has spectacular things to give. Any more plans to travel in the coming year?

    • My pleasure, Derek! I love the concept and story behind it. And I couldn’t agree more with you – one of the best parts about travel – always learning & growing. No set plans just yet but I’ve made it my goal to travel somewhere spectacular at least 1x/year. Excited to see what’s in store for 2015!
