New series on the blog this week! I’m sure you’ve seen What I Ate Wednesday #WIAW or What I Ate Wednesday – RD Edition #WIAWRD trending lately but we’re starting a new hashtag up on TFD this week – #WTFDAW.

Why, you ask?

As a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), one of the most common questions I get asked is, “what do you eat for [insert meal here]”?

The second most common question I get asked is, “you’re a dietitian, shouldn’t you not be eating that?” (as I’m about to eat a cookie or slice of pizza…you get my drift).

I think it’s important that:

1. People realize that RDNs are human too! Because we’re human, we like to indulge once in a while and we make poor decisions here and there when we’re in a pinch too. And that’s okay. We get back on track and always strive for balance & moderation. And the world doesn’t come to an end.

2. I help inspire you to make better choices. Here, you’ll get a sneak peak into a random day of the week so you can see exactly how I eat throughout the day so that maybe you get a new idea for a quick & easy lunch or a late afternoon snack. Or, maybe you become inspired to stop skipping breakfast because you realize you can put together a breakfast to-go in 5 minutes or less.

    • Thanks, Kylie! It was a dinner thrown together at the last minute that ended up way exceeding my expectations (in taste & visual appeal) so you best believe I’ll be sharing the recipe (and more pics) soon!!
